Soundtrack Notes: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater I & II

As with my installments for Madden games, I will be publishing small posts for Tony Hawk’s skating games as well.

The first Hawk game, released in 1999, really didn’t have much to write home about, save for “Police Truck” by Dead Kennedys and “Jerry Was A Racecar Driver” by Primus. The soundtrack was also heavily criticized, and in response to that, the second installment of THPS features a much better assortment of pounding rap and post-punk.

Highlights of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater II

  1. Rage Against the Machine – Guerilla Radio
  2. Lagwagon – May 16
  3. Milencolin – No Cigar
  4. Anthrax feat. Chuck D – Bring the Noise
  5. Powerman 5000 – When Worlds Collide

There is definitely something awesome about a BS Indy 720 during the chorus of “No Cigar”.

About Robert L. Franklin

Ah, the About Me section - social networking's excuse for you sounding like an elitist prick. Hmm... what to say? What to say?
