The Great Voyager 1

It took 36 years and 7 days, but Voyager 1 has crossed into interstellar space, as NASA has just confirmed a couple of hours ago. This is monumental! Even if you’re not an astrophysics/astronomy geek like I am, this is the first time we’ll be able to get readings of things that exist outside of our solar system.

This is crazy! I honestly can’t contain my excitement!

Because I’m so excited, the integrity of this post sucks! Hahahaha! I really don’t care!

As great as going to moon was and the Hubble telescope is, the fact that Voyager 1 has left the solar system makes every innovation pale in comparison. It has been mankind’s ambition for hundreds of years to know what’s beyond our small backyard in the intergalactic subdivision that is the Milky Way Galaxy. Oh, man. I can hardly contain myself.

I can’t wait to see what is said over the next couple of days. This is huge news!

Ah, the About Me section - social networking's excuse for you sounding like an elitist prick. Hmm... what to say? What to say?
