04. Keith Vidal

Keith Vidal was a schizophrenic 18-year-old who was having an episode. After Keith’s family called 9-1-1, three officers would show up, all from different jurisdictions. Two of the officers arrived first and appeared to be getting the situation under control. The third officer — from nearby Southport — walked into the room then allegedly said “We don’t have time for this. Tase that kid now. Let’s get him out of here.” Vidal attempted to run, but was struck with two Taser charges and fell backward. Mark Wilsey, Vidal’s step-father, claimed that officers had pinned Vidal down and one of the officers said “we don’t have time for this” before shooting Vidal. Either way, seventy seconds after the third officer arrived, police radioed they had to shoot 18-year-old Keith Vidal in self-defense.

Ah, the About Me section - social networking's excuse for you sounding like an elitist prick. Hmm... what to say? What to say?

That’s fucked up. And no one looked into it to see if the officers were at fault?
