38. Bou Phonesavanh

“Baby Bou Bou” is lucky to be alive. This is a War on Drugs story.

On May 28th of this year, Habersham County SWAT converged on a house they suspected had drugs and weapons inside. Before entering, the SWAT officers threw a flash-bang into the house. The flash-bang landed in the crib of nineteen-month-old Bounkham Phonesavanh and detonated, disfiguring the child. The subsequent raid on the house produced not a single weapon and not a single drug. All was for naught.

A grand jury heard the case against the officers and decided not to charge them. Furthermore, the state of Georgia is refusing to pay Phonesavanh’s medical bills.

Ah, the About Me section - social networking's excuse for you sounding like an elitist prick. Hmm... what to say? What to say?
