39. Jonathan Ferrell

Former Florida A&M University football player Jonathan Ferrell was working two jobs and living with his fiancee in Charlotte, North Carolina. He wanted to go back to school and finish his engineering degree. Unfortunately, Ferrell’s ambitions never came into fruition. On September 14, 2013, Ferrell crashed his car. He got himself out and went into a nearby neighborhood looking for help. He knocked on the door of one of the residents, who answered thinking it was her husband. When she saw Ferrell, she quickly slammed the door and called the police. Officers found Ferrell near the community pool. When Ferrell went to the officers, they tased him, and when he tried to continue, they shot him dead in the street.
